A delightful ceramic cake platter with a lovely green glaze and classic Provençal cicada motifs from the home of Patricia Wells. Per Provençal folklore, God dispatched the cicada to awaken the napping workers during the afternoon to prevent excessive summer slumber!

Patricia loves to use this platter for presenting soft cheeses while hosting.

It was was most likely made in the village of Dieulefit, well known for its pottery ateliers.  A charming souvenir from Patricia and Walter's private collection.
