Dating from the 1950s, a lovely wooden case branded NESTLÉ. "Lait Concentré sucré NESTLÉ La santé de l'enfant" translates to "Sweetened Condensed Milk NESTLÉ The health of the child." It was originally used for carrying and delivering sweetened condensed milk. There are two simple wooden handles at each end. The other side is labeled "Etablissements Paillaud Creuilly Calvados".

Nestlé, founded in 1867 by Henri Nestlé in Vevey, Switzerland, began with the invention of a milk-based baby food. The company expanded rapidly, merging with the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company in 1905. Throughout the 20th century, Nestlé diversified its product range, acquiring brands such as Maggi, Nescafé, and Purina. Today, Nestlé is a global leader in nutrition, health, and wellness, with a vast portfolio including dairy products, bottled water, pet care, and more. Its commitment to innovation and sustainability has solidified its position as one of the world's largest food and beverage companies.
