Vintage Stoneware Platter / Bowl - La Grange aux Potiers - 9¾"

This charming, petite round plate from La Grange aux Potiers showcases a beautiful earthy glaze reminiscent of traditional stoneware pieces. The subtle blend of greens and browns gives it a rustic, handcrafted appeal, perfect for serving rice or couscous. The condition is excellent, with a smooth finish that highlights its artisanal quality. La Grange aux Potiers was a workshop in the Drôme region created by the couple René and Madeleine de Valence. Active between 1940 and 1980s. After René's death in 1963, Madeleine continued their work for another twenty years. They were friends with Picasso and pictured together at the 1955 International ceramics conference in Cannes, France.
