This is an original mobile handmade by the renowned French artist François Collette. It consists of chrome steel and dates from 1970 (it is stamped "FC 1970"). François Collette was a French postwar and contemporary sculptor who was born in 1936 and was well known for his mobile sculpture. His designs echo the work of the famous American maker of mobiles, Alexander Calder (1898-1976).
Collette's mobiles are highly sought after and it is exciting to have one of his fine pieces in stock right now.
