Vintage Goldscheider White Terrier figure 8¾"

This adorable little white terrier figure dates from the mid-twentieth century and was designed by Ida Erdös-Meisinger (1897 -1985) for Goldscheider. It is branded underneath. Ida Erdös-Meisinger (1897 -1985) was a designer for the renowned Goldscheider Manufactory and Majolica Factory in Vienna.

Goldscheider was established in 1885 by Friedrich Goldscheider and became one of the most influential ceramic manufacturers in Europe, known for its high-quality art deco and art nouveau pieces. Ida Erdös-Meisinger contributed to the company’s success with her distinctive designs, which were appreciated for their artistic merit and craftsmanship. Her work for Goldscheider remains highly regarded and collectible today.
