A pleasant oil-on-canvas vintage French streetscape painting in Trévoux - Ain, a suburb of Lyon in eastern France that was built on the steeply sloping left bank of the river Saône. A scene depicting a street alleyway and stairs between a group of old stone buildings on a street formerly known as Rue des petits trous, and now called Rue Casse-cou, which is one of the few remaining examples of a traditional paving technique.

It is signed by the artist and dated on the back. Note the pretty muted colors and shadows. A perfect size for a powder bath, gallery wall, or to lean in a kitchen nook to add a touch of French charm to your home.
