Who knew a pitcher could tell such a great story! This pitcher, with a separate lidded section for ice was originally used for serving orange juice. As Walter explains, back in the day in Paris at the end of a dinner party, the hostess would politely serve a refreshing chilled pitcher of orange juice to guests. This made it clear to guests that the evening had come to an end, and it was time for juice - 'a hit of vitamin c' and to be on your way home!

This is also perfect for serving chilled water, ice tea, wine or sangria without diluting it. Note there is a minor chip on the base as seen in the photographs.
