This impressive, very large beechwood cutting board dates from the late 19th to early 20th century and hails from a grand home or château kitchen. Crafted from two wide planks carefully joined together, it features a distinctive cutout at the base, designed to allow the board to dry properly and prevent damage. Its substantial size and patina make it a striking decorative piece that captures the rustic charm of traditional French country kitchens.

There are traces of historical woodworm present on the board. While it has been treated, we recommend it be used for decorative purposes rather than for food preparation. For additional precaution, further treatment may be necessary—consult your local hardware store for a suitable woodworm treatment product to ensure the longevity of this remarkable piece.
