An antique French confit pot from south west France. Originally used for storing preserves. It has lovely ocher glaze with a timeworn patina and will make a wonderful addition to a collection of antique French pottery. Note the tapered base and double rim for tying string tightly to close a canvas lid. 

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
