Very large antique French mortar with double headed pestle

This exceptionally large and weighty mortar dates to circa 1900’s. It is made from stone and was most likely a culinary mortar. Wear and condition consistent with age and use.

15” diameter x 9½” deep

38cm diameter x 24cm deep

The large pestle is walnut. It has two heads with some wear and a small crack.
