This charming early 20th century wooden folding screen comprises four panels and features two contrasting decorative finishes. One side is painted in soft, muted tones with delicate bird motifs perched on flowering branches, evoking an East Asian aesthetic with a light and poetic touch.  The composition is airy and asymmetrical, set against a gently aged cream background with patina and texture that enhance its subtle decorative quality. The reverse is covered with a dark lacquered canvas enriched with gilt chinoiserie scenes. These depict stylized landscapes, figures, and architectural elements in a dense composition.
