Tall pair of antique French cast iron Medici urns 24½"

Dating from the early-nineteenth century, this exceptional pair of cast iron Medici urns were sourced from a Chateau north of Bordeaux. Note the gadrooning and sculptural handles. One is more weathered than the other, suggesting that it was displayed in a more exposed part of the garden. Note also that some copper lining remains as visible in the photos with a verdigris patina. A stunning pair of timeworn planters that will make a focal point in any garden.
