This stunning 19th-century trumeau mirror, inspired by the Florence style but distinctly French in design, features a beautifully carved cornice and pretty rosette decorations. The mirror is framed in wood and stucco. Originally designed with candle holders, there are four small holes where they would have once been attached. The patina and aged surface bring an elegant, timeworn charm to this statement piece.
This trumeau mirror would make a dramatic focal point in a living room or dining room, especially when placed above a mantel or console table. Its tall, narrow shape and decorative details lend a sense of grandeur and classical style. Pair it with antique lighting, or flank it with modern décor to create a striking contrast, allowing the mirror to bridge different design elements in a space. Its neutral tones complement various color schemes, making it a versatile addition to both traditional and eclectic interiors.
Heavy wear and rustic condition consistent with age and use.
Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
