Richard St-Germain was born in Montreal in 1954, he received his master's degree in Two-Dimensional Design at the University of Quebec. He flew to Europe in 1987 and made a 6-year stopover in Italy, then his artistic journey took him to the South of France in 1933. From his house in Cévennes and from his studio located in Alès, the artist continues his work as a graphic designer, illustrator, painter and as he likes to say image artist". Its rounded lines give life to wacky characters and divide flowers, fruits and vegetables like so many colored stained glass windows that allow light to pass through. Drawing inspiration from everything, he captures the essence of an object or subject to highlight each of its curves and nuances. He enjoys surprising the public at each of his exhibitions with always the same pleasure and the same enthusiasm. The communicative joie de vivre of this artist has therefore not finished spreading. His works have received numerous international awards and have been collected in a portfolio by the Public Archives of Canada.
