A handsome zinc vase dating from around the 1920s, with a neoclassical urn form raised on a square plinth base. The body is elegantly flared with softly faceted sides and a band of restrained lobed detailing around the lower section, giving the piece a refined architectural quality despite its lightweight construction. The zinc surface has weathered beautifully over time to a soft matte grey with scattered oxidation and warm rust-colored traces gathering around the joins and edges, enhancing its understated garden character.
Light enough to move easily yet visually substantial, the vase works beautifully on a console, pedestal, garden table, or windowsill. Filled loosely with branches, wild foliage, or dried flowers, it brings a quiet French garden atmosphere indoors; for fresh blooms, a discreet liner is recommended.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
