Rare antique French coach chair w/ floral silk upholstery

This rare antique French coach chair dates from the 1900s. The overarching canopy, with its wingback and hooded top likens it to a carriage coach. It has been recently reupholstered with lovely floral and peachy cream silk.  On the outside of each armrest there is a slim pocket with flap on either side to easily hold a newspaper or magazine.

The piece maintains its original pale mint-green painted patina to its frame and is in sturdy, superb overall condition. Note the Louis XVI style fluted legs.

Destined to make a statement and serve as a cozy conversation piece, this coach chair will delight any interior with an instant touch of French charm and personality.
