Pretty carved timber antique frame 20½" x 35"

This fine carved frame dates from the late-nineteenth to early-twentieth century. It has many layers of timeworn paint including sage and beige, as well as traces of gilding. The detail is extraordinary from the argyle pattern in the background to the foliage and square pearl pattern.
