Pale yellow lidded water pitcher, 19th century 11½"

A superb water pitcher or 'cruche' dating from the late nineteenth-century. It is rare to have the original lid. The pale yellow glaze is typical of pottery from Aubagne, a coastal town on the Cote d'Azur.
