A superb, rare pair of carved walnut boxes dating from the late-nineteenth to early-twentieth century, crafted in the Louis XV style and originating from Provence. This pair includes a salt box with a hinged lid on top and a small drawer underneath, designed for storing both coarse and fine salt. The accompanying "farinière" features a vertically sliding front panel, traditionally used for storing flour. Both boxes exhibit intricate craftsmanship and can be either wall-mounted or placed on a countertop, adding a touch of French country elegance and historical charm to any kitchen or collection.
