A truly artisanal rope thrown Biot jar. Hand crafted in Anduze by using timber and rope for a mold; a method which dates to the Neolithic period. These bespoke jars are made to order. All rope thrown pots have the trademark stamp sea shell.

The antique celadon full glazed jar measures 21¾” tall x 17¾” diameter, weighing approx 65 lbs.

You will find examples of our pottery in Versailles, Nice, exhibited at the Chelsea Flower Show and in private gardens of homes across France and the world.

You may also choose a water repellent treatment to be applied to the inside of the jar by our artisan. This helps preserve the exterior finish and also helps protect against the risks of frost (Your local climate will be a big factor in determining if this risk is relevant to you).

These vases are bespoke, typically made to order and shipped within three months. A small number of Biot jars may be available for immediate shipping.
