Recently arrived at Chez Pluie is a charming pair of Chapeau de Gendarme back French club chairs. These comfortable chairs are a beautiful deep caramel color blending to chestnut brown. Their charming back legs flare out slightly. Note the lovely brass stud details and wear to the leather around the edge of the arms and seat.
Note: As part of the restoration process, the springs have been tightened, the webbing has been replaced, and the chairs have been treated for woodworm.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use - refer to photos, particularly inner armrest of one of the chairs where the leather has worn back significantly.
