A lovely pair of silver plated Champagne bucket stands dating from the nineteenth century. Likely first used in a luxury French hotel or restaurant, their elegant and solid forms feature a simple ribbing design and a beautiful shine. The base is weighted with lead to create extra stability to prevent the stand from being easily knocked over.
This rare pair will make a perfect symmetrical statement for an entertaining enthusiast looking to add a touch of French refinement to their events. See in-situ video depiction featuring both stands. From a private collection in the south of France, and yes, other items shown in the video are available for purchase! Note the bases show some pitting to their patina.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
