Dating from the late nineteenth century, a charming pair of gilded Italian-style floating wall brackets or shelves featuring painted faux red marble tops and impressive asymmetrical scrolling acanthus leaves. Note the superb details of the gilded and carved acanthus leaf bases holding up the expertly artisan crafted faux marble painted platforms. Likely French or English. A charming pair to complement either side of a mirror at an entry.
