Owl & frog sculpture - early 20th century 8¼"

This unusual vintage sculpture of an owl and a frog dates from the early twentieth century. It is made from 'regule' on a brass base. The bird's eyes are glass. The interaction between the creatures is enchanting - the frog's mouth gaping open hopeful that something will land inside! Unsigned.
