Oil painting of a village in Provence - 1930s -21¾" x 15"

This charming Provencal village streetscape dates from the 1930s and is possibly Saint-Remy-de-Provence. A lovely little painting, full of charm and French character from the architecture to the plane trees. There is a dedication written on the back to 'my patron and friend Gaby' - patron in this instance would mean boss or manager. The signature may read P. Montagard but it is difficult to decipher.
