Miniature Biot style bird feeding terracotta pot 2¼"

This charming bird feeder terracotta pot dates from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century. It was handmade from terracotta and finished with pale yellow glaze on the inside and rim. Little pots like these were originally used inside birdcages for seed.

A lovely piece to add to a collection of antique French pottery. If using as a vase, as the outside of the pot is unglazed, we recommend a watertight container be put inside as condensation can form on the outside of the pot.
