This French Art Deco champagne bucket by Ercuis, likely dating to the 1930s or slightly later, presents a sleek cylindrical form in silver-plated metal, with subtly textured rings encircling the lower body and scallop shell handles to either side. The surface catches the light with a soft mirrored glow, gently mellowed by a light patina from use. Well proportioned and elegantly understated, it remains in very good condition, with light surface marks and faint scratches consistent with age and polishing.
This cooler elevates a bottle of champagne with quiet luxury. Style it on a marble console beside crystal coupes, or use it as a luminous vase for garden peonies or hydrangeas. The scallop shell handles lend a subtle coastal note, making it especially at home in seaside interiors.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
