A charming beechwood butcher's block table, or "Billot De Boucher", dating from the 1940s/50s, France. The shapely and wonderfully timeworn thick cutting board top rests on four carved legs with metal caps matching the metal pieces outfitted throughout the table, securing it for extra durability.
Note the lovely single drawer with metal pull handle with a simple carved skirt beneath. Note the brass maker's mark plaque centered at the top's front side. A stable piece and the perfect size to add a bit of additional counter space and French charm in a small kitchen.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
