Louis XV Provençal gilt mirror w/ roses 40½" x 27½"

Dating from the eighteenth century, this superb Louis XV Provençal mirror has a richly carved sculptural frame, crowned with a basket filled with flowers. The frame is also decorated with bows, acanthus leave and foliage. Retains the original mercury mirror and parquetry wood back (making it a weighty mirror). A superb mirror that will be the focal point of any room.

Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
