This unusual Languedoc water pitcher from the late 19th century captures attention with its vivid glaze and striking color palette. Rich green and brown drips cascade over a pale yellow background, creating a captivating array of hues rarely seen in such pieces. The pitcher follows the traditional orjol shape, with a slightly tapered body that narrows at the neck. Its distinctive double handles extend from the outer rim, arching outward before reattaching to the upper shoulder, with one handle seamlessly integrated into a tall, tubular spout that rises above the rim for easy pouring.

Note that one handlehas been repaired, providing a testament to its long history and adding to its unique character. Perfect for a rustic or farmhouse-style interior, this pitcher can serve as a striking vase for wildflowers or simply as an ornamental piece on a kitchen shelf. Its bright, warm hues complement neutral tones, adding warmth and vibrancy to any space.
