Late 19th-century Directoire gilt wood boiserie element 15" x 26"

This late-nineteenth-century gilt wood boiserie element was originally displayed in a synagogue. Made from one piece of carved wood with a gilt and paint finish. The detail to the drapes is superb. French, from the Directoire period.
