This bright yellow octagonal platter echoes the yellow of Patricia's kitchen at Chanteduc in Provence. Note the pretty pearl detail around the edge. It was made by atelier Poët-Laval and dates from the mid-twentieth century.
Poët-Laval, a charming medieval village located in the Drôme region of southeastern France, has a storied history in ceramics that dates back to the 16th century. The village's rich clay deposits made it a natural site for pottery production. Over the centuries, local artisans have developed and preserved unique glazing techniques and designs, contributing to the distinctive character of Poët-Laval ceramics. These ceramics are celebrated for their rustic beauty and durability, qualities that reflect the region's deep connection to traditional crafts.
