This stunning tureen and platter dates from the early twentieth century. The spiral handles are superb and the glaze is pea green. From the Madoura Atelier in Vallauris - signed underneath. A rare find.
The Madoura Atelier was founded in 1938 - it is renowned as this is where Picasso, Marc Chagall, Victor Brauner, Henri Matisse and Robert Picault made pottery.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
