Large Louis XV style armchair - gilded w/ floral upholstery

A  antique Louis XV bergère wingback armchair dating from the early twentieth century, Italy. Note the carved rose cresting on the curved backrest, gilded stylized shell motif on the seat rail and cabriole legs, finished with silver and gold leaf. 

The armchair has been reupholstered in beautiful woven silk fabric featuring red flowers on a beige background from a celebrated Italian fabric house. The comfortable soft feather cushion fills the armchair. This armchair would bring an elegant feel to a living room, placed near a fireplace or opposite a sofa, or situated in a bedroom as a reading nook.
