Large green olive pot - 4 handles - late 18th century - 17¾"

Dating from the late eighteenth century, this large, terracotta olive jar has emerald green glaze and four 'doigtier' handles - a term used to describe the method of making the pattern on the handle with ones fingers. There are two drainage holes in the bottom.
