Large crested mirror w/ birds - Napoleon III - 69" x 41¼"

This exquisite, large Napoleon III mirror dates from the nineteenth century. The frame is decorated with love birds at the top, foliage and abstract rain drops. The frame has been restored and is delicate. There is some movement in the decor. Originally gilded with some gold touch-ups where required. Retains the original mercury glass. This would be a great choice for a fireplace as the frame is designed to sit on a mantle. A rare find that will add a romantic touch to any interior. 

Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
