Large antique French wire harvest basket 21¼"

This large antique French wire harvest basket is beautifully made with a relatively open weave suggesting that it was used for harvesting fruit and large vegetables. The wooden handle is timeworn and weathered. Wire baskets are a joy to collect and decorate with - weather using in the garden or to display dried flowers, it is a versatile and quintessentially French accessory.
