Venini, established in 1921 on Murano Island in Venice by Paolo Venini and Giacomo Cappellin, revolutionized glassmaking by blending traditional Murano techniques with modern design. Originally named Vetri Soffiati Muranesi Cappellin Venini & C., it was later rebranded after Cappellin's departure in 1925.
Under Paolo Venini’s leadership, the company collaborated with renowned designers like Napoleone Martinuzzi, Carlo Scarpa, and Fulvio Bianconi, producing innovative works such as the iconic "Fazzoletto" (handkerchief) vases. Known for vibrant colors and bold forms, Venini’s creations are celebrated in major museums and private collections globally.
