Dating from the 1950s, a magnificent and interesting large butcher's block table with three curved drawers and three flip-up cabinet doors beneath for extra storage. The thick top is likely beechwood and is wonderfully timeworn. See photos to observe how the wood dips from use over time. The backrest features a stamp in the center with the maker's details. Note the practical iron slot located at the center-back of the block for holding knives.

Note the pretty carved details and uniquely curved shape of the base beneath the top. Another fun artisan feature: the three lower cabinets open upwards and push into the cabinet to hide completely and avoid any chance of running into the door when open. A very charming way to to decorate your kitchen or restaurant decor with a piece of French butcher shop history!
