This lovely rectangular mirror dates from the early nineteenth century, Restoration period. Note the mercury glass is in two panes as at the time large sheets of glass could not yet be made. It retains the original wooden frame, which is very heavy and the gilding has been redone. A classic antique mirror that will complement both contemporary and traditional interiors.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
