This unusual gilt mirror dates from the late nineteenth century and is in the Louis XVI style. Note the dragon, wheat sheafs, and laurel foliage moldings. There are also little feet so it can be displayed on a console or mantle. The mirror glass is original.
Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
