A beautiful large French cachepot from the nineteenth century decorated with painted roses, daisies, carnations and butterflies. The pale blue handles are in the shape of Bacchus' face. The rim and footed bottom are outlined lined with a simple red glaze. A charming and whimsical jardinière to feature an arrangement on a kitchen table centerpiece or entry hall. There is a drainage hole at the bottom. Stamped Gien in pink with its classic castle symbol above and the letter "B".
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
