Preserving jars, yellow ware, 19th-century (two)

Set of two French yellow ware jars, originally used for jams and conserves. The lip at the top of the jar was for fastening a fabric cover. There is a spiral pattern on their bases and their origin is the alpine region of Haute-Savoie. Patina consistent with age and use.
