This French cheese mold or Faisselle dates to the 1940’s and is a rustic creamware. The pretty holes make this ceramic strainer perfect for washing strawberries or displaying eggs and fruit. A maker’s mark reads ‘Digoin & Sarreguemine’. The faïence of Sarreguemine is renowned for its exquisite stoneware. Light wear consistent with age and use.
