A charming French eighteenth-century blue and white footed jardinière. The lovely octagonal glazed earthenware piece features decorative floral motifs and a central basket of flowers on each side. It also features twisted, blue dot handles which are typical of the style of a region of France formerly known as Navarre, which straddles southern Atlantic France and northern Spain.
Curated from a private collection in the south of France, this jardinière will be a perfect addition to your next table centerpiece. Signed "R" in blue underneath. Please note the minor chips to glaze at the top rim as seen in photos.
