Extra-large tian bowl w/ green glaze 19"

This dark green glazed terracotta bowl is known as a 'tian' - a wonderfully practical bowl that was designed for washing fruit, vegetables and even as a basin for washing up plates and cutlery. The bright green glaze has been applied to the inside only (as is tradition) and it is in very good condition. It is from south west France - a region famous for ocher and green glazed culinary ceramics. Some wear and losses to glaze as seen in photos.
