This extra-long rustic French butchers table dates to the 19th century. The pretty festoon carving runs around all four sides of the table and is typical of a table de boucherie. There are two drawers, one at each end. The timber is most likely mango, which would have been delivered by boat to a port city such as Bordeaux, and hand crafted in France.
