Exceptional late-18th century Anduze urn 23¼"

SKU: 18730

US$3,697
Dating from the late-eighteenth century, this superb, timeworn Anduze urn has a very unusual silhouette with a more pronounced bell shape than traditionally made in Anduze. This shape and the rose garlands indicate that it was likely the work of a potter by the name of Collette - this potter had an atelier for a brief period of time and was known for rose garland decor and a vase in the 'badge' sadly missing from the pot today. This is a rare find and a statement piece traditionally found in classic French gardens.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
