Dating from the late eighteenth/early nineteenth century, this rustic, French church altar candlestick is wonderfully timeworn. The beige and red paint finish has worn away in parts and two out of three sides were painted - these were the 'front' sides that faced the congregation.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
