Dark brown slipware pitcher w/ yellow spots from Savoie 6"

This pretty dark brown pitcher dates from the nineteenth century and is from the Savoy region (French Alps). Note the ribbed neck and pretty beige and green décor. It is glazed inside and out but not underneath as it was to be used over heat - one can see the charred base from years of cooking. A lovely addition to a collection of antique pottery.
